I think it's gonna rain today ... help the needy and show them the way

Tuesday 10:38 am

It’s raining. Molly and Phillip are a no go, dealing with their own inclement climate.

Rainy afternoon, shifting light, bright sad, grimy, white sky as I read and doze off, rinse and repeat. There’s this soft, low almost silent sound that sounds like it’s gonna downpour any minute fast and furious. And it does. Thunder. Lower temp. Makes me feel a little like I don’t know what to do next so I write here and wait until I come up with something. A Skype call with Regina in Sardinia at 5.

Playing Leon and wife’s glorious wedding LP from the 70s for the second day in a row. It reminds me a lot of Carole, my long ao whirling dervish dance partner. I wonder if she can still listen to music and bust a move where she is.

Skyped with Gina in Italy for an hour. About plane prices, bad shoulders, cats. I recommended she kill them and tell hubby they ran off. And lots about Succession. I have to check on a few details. And see if she is right or wrong about what went what.

I stick my finger in my Pema Bible.  She tells me

how do we cultivate the conditions for joy - a happiness that’s completely devoid of clinging craving?

We train in staying present.
