Spent the whole night online watching people listen to music ... young peeps hearing Like a Rolling Stone for the first time - first time hearing about and listening to Dylan. Hard to believe. and lots of wonder at Paul Simon, Tracy Chapman, Bowie, Neil Young and especially Joni.  90 % of the folks were Black, and 98 % of that group - men. Newcomers hungry for old school OG sounds before they were born. It's kind of thrilling to watch them being thrilled about artists and art thats thrilled  me for 50 years. And Sarah Dengler ... dumb struck by the beauty and get-you-good-ness of Here Comes the Sun, Old Man.  Such power in the combination of language, phrasing, choices, skill, gifts, collaborations.  The really good stuff never gets old or less rockem' sockem' real life automaton verisimilitude.

I'm gonna listen my brains out at the beach for a month beginning on Friday. and maybe never see or read a blip of news the whole time. hey Tracy, talk about a revolution.
